Rachel Rising #3 — Writer/Artist: Terry Moore We’re still in “set up the mystery” mode, as the title character, having clawed her way out of a shallow grave, exhibits spooky precog powers and watches bad things happen to other people. There’s some kind of possession thing going on, and it’s all very well staged, and drawn very prettily too. Echo, Moore’s last effort, was remarkably well thought out, so I trust that the eventual explanation here will be a lot of fun, and involve a lot of action. It Came From the Back Room #35
Standard recap: I’m slowly going through AABC’s one-million-plus back-issue room, restocking the boxes on the sales floor and pulling stuff to sell as discount/overstock/special items (these are featured at the discount racks at the west end of the store for two weeks after each post, and then go to the discount racks on the east end of the store for a few weeks, and then disappear into our warehouses, so get them while you can). Fresh Eyes on Old Books #35 by Dan!
And we’re back! I have a splitting headache, but that won’t stop me. Let’s do this! Silver Surfer #7 from 1969 I’m not gunna lie, these Silver Surfer comics were worth their 25-cent price point. This book is thick. This story is, in a nutshell, weird. Silver Surfer meets an heir to Dr. Frankenstein who is, of course, trying to bring his own monster to life.
