A Fantastic Marvel and DC Silver Age Collection Just Purchased!

An incredible amount of key books have been surfacing lately! In the last two days, we acquired a very nice collection of Marvel and DC books, approximately 1,100 items, all from the Silver Age, circa 1962-1967! From Action Comics to X-Men, there’s a great representation of that era we know and love. The book shown here is an indication of the depth of this collection! We have our work cut out for us in the next couple of weeks, and this great new collection will be on display in the store soon. Key issues from this lot will be featured … Continue reading

Hey folks! With the new website running smoothly, we’ve decided to change things up just a little bit.  Reviews will now only be one post per week, but The Professor and I will both have a different column on Sundays!  So get ready for some slight changes.  Also, make sure to wear a helmet, in case I blow your mind! It’s a superspy romp with tons of narrative tricks (Fraction lists … Continue reading

Phil’s Reviews — Stuff I Bought #173

Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne #3 (of 6) — Writer: Grant Morrison;  Pencils: Yanick Paquette;  Inks: Michel Lacombe Joe the Barbarian #6 ( of 8 ) — Writer: Grant Morrison;  Art: Sean Murphy Two from Morrison this week: B:ROBW, after what felt like a shaky beginning, has been getting better and better, as Our Hero time-hops closer and closer to the present, but his eventual revival may be part of a Darkseid uber-plot. Little of that’s covered this issue, though; instead, we get pirates, including Blackbeard and DC’s own Black Pirate. Yarrr!  Morrison’s clearly having fun with it, while … Continue reading
