Once again this tough economy has many people selling off their collections. This is creating an amazing inventory for All About Books & Comics and some great finds.  The latest collection we just received includes many gems, most notably Tales of Suspense #39, the first appearance of Iron Man! We have had this book in the store only FIVE times in our 28 years. Hello all! Writing from the beautiful city of Los Angeles, Marsha and I are here to see a new theater show, produced and starred in by our son, Ben. It’s in a gorgeous area of Hollywood, containing tons of cinematic history. The air is clear today thank god, since the California fires are just about contained! Hey Gang! Lots to tell you this week, so bear with me while I try to be succinct! We received a really beautiful selection of Silver to Modern age CGC books in this last Saturday, and the books are on display in a Central side glass display case, waiting for collectors of high end books to come in and drool! (and hopefully purchase!) Surprise, surprise. Alan is busy pricing two more collections yet again! He is busy grading and pricing a nice collection of Golden Age Westerns and a smattering of Silver Age DC’s to have ready for your perusal by tomorrow for new comic day! My pretty little Marsha has been pinch hitting for me lately, so here I go to get back into the swing of things! Eddie and I “broke down” the two back issue tables today to make room for…sigh…yet another back issue collection just acquired. This collection is 12 long white boxes of mostly modern back issues, bagged and boarded, and heavy with Marvel and DC titles.
