Getting off My Duff #23 by Marsha

Hey Everybody,

Alan is busy sorting, pricing, sorting, pricing, sorting, pricing……you get the drill. So I thought I’d write the blog this week and fill you in on what is going on at the store this week.

This Wed. is the arrival of the much anticipated Captain America Reborn #1. This comic is expected to be the hottest book of the summer.  With a great creative team of writer Ed Brubaker and artist Bryan Hitch it is sure to be a must read.  There will be a 50/50 cover split with a Bryan Hitch cover and an Alex Ross cover as well as a John Cassidy Variant and a special limited sketch variant. AABC will have all 4 copies available so be sure to come in Wed. to get this hot book before it sells out! Variants are very limited so come in early if you want one.
As I mentioned above Alan (and Dan) have been working on the latest of several collections and should have another several thousand books out by the end of the week. There have been tons of new packets added and tons of back issues to the main boxes out on the sales floor.

Meanwhile our resident back room guru Phil has been sorting through overstock in the back room.  He’s just finished Justice League and we have put out thousands of Justice League comics from the last 30 years at cover price! Come in soon for best selection.

And a reminder that as of last week we have on display an entire case of high end Silver Age Fantastic Four comics at 25% off! We are extending this offer for a limited time.

And if you like the 25% off deal this is the weekend to come by the store. Saturday is July 4th and our annual July 4th SALE!  That means 25% off everything in the store with the exception of SOME consignment items from 10AM until 5PM.  And on top of that all the comics in the discount comic room are only 50 cents each! Buy 100 for $40.00!  Don’t miss out on the last 25% off sale of 2009. The next one isn’t until Jan. 1, 2010!

If you are missing a special deal of the week then you need to ask Alan “where’s my deal of the week?”………I’m sure he’ll come up with something tailored just for you!

See you at the store on Wed.!

Marsha:)
