Hello Everyone! So something out of the ordinary for new Wednesday comics this week! Marvel shipped us the new CAPTAIN AMERICA #600 TWO DAYS early this week, breaking the new Wednesday “street date” that they make every retailer normally adhere too. It’s all OK, because there’s been a lot of press covering the new “Reborn” storyline that will bring back, well, you know who, as the one and only CAP! It’s a beautiful looking book, so c’mon in and grab your copy before we sell out. (Fear not. There will be a 2nd print!)
Speaking of out of the ordinary, ALL ABOUT is trying something new beginning this week with our biweekly auction. Same length of time, same great stock, same great prices, but now instead of a minimum bid, we will list the Overstreet value, and then you….MAKE AN OFFER! And if it is a “reasonable” offer, we’ll accept it! I can’t give you more information on the term “reasonable”, because the variables lie in: how long the store has had the book, what condition the book is in, is it a consignment copy?, am I just unreasonable this week, etc. But we’re not a museum, so all offers will be considered. And yes, the new Amazon way of conducting business is now taking over the world!
My good little businesswoman Marsha just purchased 13…lucky 13…out of print porcelain statues today. The lot includes such gems as the Lynda Carter WONDER WOMAN, RED SKULL, the full size HAWKEYE, THE PHANTOM, and numerous mini maquettes. such as the FLASH and SUPERMAN! Cool stuff!
