Giving Thanks!

As we look at this Thanksgiving holiday, we realize we have so much to be grateful for. We are so thankful for our loyal friends and customers that have made it possible for us to be in business 26 years (as of 12/1/07). We are often reminded by many, how lucky we are that our “job” is owning a comic book store. This couldn’t be truer than these last couple of weeks when I got to “hold” (ie. grade & price) A VF Amazing Spider-man #9 (auction ending tomorrow night!),2 Incredible Hulk # 181’s, 2 Uncanny X-men #94’s, Iron Man … Continue reading

Where does it all come from?

Hello everyone! Alan the salesman here. I really dislike the “pitchman” approach sometimes, but when some very cool items filter into the store, I just gotta pitch ’em to ya’! Yet again, we just acquired a nice collection of some very nice runs of late Silver and Bronze age comics. The first issues of each run will be included in our next auction, with such choice items as IRON MAN & SUB-MARINER #1, IRON MAN #55, MARVEL SPOTLIGHT #28, and a … Continue reading

You sort (and sorting was accomplished mostly by very able staffer Dan), alphabetize, pull out any Silver, Bronze…and Gold, if you’re lucky, and anything deemed collectible, or “hot” in the market, and just overall make the collection presentable for collectors! And presentable it’s become. We’ve priced hundreds of Bronze (1970’s) books at $2.00 and $5.00 each…a real savings on 1970’s … Continue reading

Hard-to-Find Comics at COVER PRICE!

Hello everyone! As I informed you a couple of weeks ago, AABC acquired at collection of approximately 10,000 comic books from one of our long-time customers. The selection is chock full of 1970’s Bronze Age books, and the rest of the collection pretty much covers the last 15 years of the hobby. We’re almost done sorting, and then we’ll have some mighty cool sets of books for you to peruse through! Just as a quick point of interest, there are many titles that have been published over the last decade that have extremely low print runs. From DC’s Vertigo line … Continue reading
