Hello one and all! Welcome to the ALL ABOUT COMICS blog! My name is Alan Giroux, and my wife Marsha and I have been comic book retailers in Phoenix for the last 25 years, owning and operating a 4,000 square foot store at 5060 N Central Ave (Central and Camelback), a building chock full of over 1,000,000 comics from all eras for your perusal! We would like for this blog site to be a lively discussion of topics directly related to the comics industry, be it insights, reviews, movies, or just a general reflection on the state of the industry. Some great stories – I had never really thought about what my first comic was, in fact I’m not really sure (it probably started when I was a little kid reading the comic section of the paper – of course they were called funny papers back then).
Howdy everyone at AABC!
This is my first attempt at blogging & what a place for my first time!
As some of you already know (hi Marsha & Allan) I’ve been a customer for almost the entire 25 years AABC has been in business (okay so I took a decade or so off to pursue other endeavors–sheesh give me a break) and not once have I been disappointed! From the friendliness of the staff to the knowledge of comics–it’s been an awesome experience!
