Hey guys,
Thank you one and all for attending this Memorial Day Sale, one of the best we’ve ever had! We moved more than 2,000 comics out of the Discount Comic room, so we finally have room to fill more!
Last Monday the late Golden/early Silver Age collection from Virginia arrived at the store. I tell ya’ I’m like a kid in a candy store! The majority of the collection is from the 1952 to 1958 era, with some nice runs of titles like: Dell”s TARZAN, ACTION COMICS, ADVENTURE COMICS, BATMAN, DETECTIVE, SUPERBOY, SUPERMAN, and WORLD’S FINEST! This week’s auction features comics from this collection exclusively, and definitely more to come! Also, our “Florida connection” sent us another batch of late Silver and Bronze this week! They’re all priced so ask to see the selection!
The “Number One” wall was such a hit on the west side of the store (i.e., that’s 1st issues of comic titles), that we decided to expand the selection on the south wall of the store above the new comic racks! Covering Silver to Modern, there’s a few gems in there for everyone.
Marsha has found a new distributor for T-Shirts, and a new batch of mostly DC characters just arrived this week! In various sizes from Juniors to XXL, you’ll see new designs of BATMAN, HARLEY QUINN, JOKER, GREEN ARROW, and some of those lesser “B” characters like BLACK LIGHTNING! And for those of you that like wholesome women, BETTIE PAGE T’s were part of this mixture too! Marsha has informed me that a new MARVEL T-Shirt assortment should be showing up as well, any day now. Be on the lookout.
The new comic shipment is a little lighter this week, and please remember, it’s not due until Thursday because of the holiday. To feed everyone’s comic book frenzy, we’ll make it worth your while with this weeks DEAL OF THE WEEK by offering 25% OFF any ONE item of your choice this Wednesday, if you mention the blog.
