OK, so no small talk and idle blather today and we’ll get right to the meat of the matter: COMIC BOOKS ON SALE. So now that I have your attention, here goes. This Wednesday, March 11th, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., ALL back issue comic books in the blue display boxes will be 25% off, and this includes consignment and the Bronze and Silver Age section! Call it a Spring Break Special, or, gee, Alan and Marsha Just Got Their Tax Bill Special! In any case, thousands of comics will be 25% OFF tomorrow. The only back issues not included in this one day sale will be comics from the back room. (HINT: think high grade Silver Age on wall near parking lot entrance)
Here’s another deal. For a limited time, which means I have no idea for how long, the Marvel ESSENTIALS TPB’s and the DC SHOWCASE TPB’s will be discounted. Here’s how it will work, and this is really complicated. Buy any TWO and take 25% off. I told you this would be tough! For those of you not in the know, the Essentials and Showcases are black and white reprints of the best of Marvel and DC Silver and Bronze Age era stories. Absolutely great stuff at an amazing bargain. The majority of these books are 400 to 500 printed pages each!
And the deal of the week? Mention the blog and take 30% off the price of any of the high grade 1970’s books on the back North wall on the Central side entrance. The selection includes: DAREDEVIL, ASTONISHING TALES, CAPTAIN AMERICA, CAPTAIN MARVEL, and THE AVENGERS. Most of these gems are one owner copies, with many in the NM 9.2 to 9.4 range. Take your pick now before the display is dismantled next week.
And before I go, I must mention the beautiful two case STAR TREK display that Eddie created on Monday. I acquired these items last November, and yes, I finally got off my duff this last weekend, priced the items, and let Eddie have at it! If you’re a Trekkie, there’s some killer merchandise here. Two ORIGINAL SCRIPTS from 1967, and two ancient looking TRIBBLES, which, we’re quite sure, are original props from the actual 1960’s episode! If ya’ want the complete story on this, ask me.
