We are 11 days out from Free Comic Book Day so I’m going to take a moment to make sure you all know about what we’ve got planned. Please note that we have the details up on the Free Comic Book Day link on the front page of our site. Last year’s face painting artist was such a huge success that she will be back! If you haven’t seen the pictures, she does fantastic work. She will paint superhero masks between 11 am and 2 pm but has to leave promptly at 2 so come early if you want to get your face painted! The kids absolutely LOVED this last year so if you have little ones, please bring them by. In addition we have commissioned an amazing caricature artist to do superhero caricatures from 2:30 to 5. Your face on a superhero body! Again, come early if you want to take advantage of this and go home with your FREE superhero caricature! Of course, besides free face painting and free caricatures, there will be loads of FREE COMICS! This year you get to pick 3 FREE comics OR 5 FREE with a purchase! As for those purchases…….we’ll be having discounts ranging from 10 to 30% off depending on what you spend so bring your list! Or better yet, email or drop off your want list and we’ll have your order ready for you!
In addition in honor of Free Comic Book Day we have been offering a special discount on comics from our Discount Comic room to benefit the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. We started this a couple of weeks ago and it will be running through FCBD. Buy 10 discount comics from the discount comic room for the troops (you pick them, we’ll ship them) and get 10 FREE COMICS from the discount comic room! Thank you for the overwhelming response. We just shipped off the first box and have a second one nearly full so please come in and get this great deal and send some comics to the troops. You may want to stop by and do this soon to avoid the crowds in the discount room on FCBD.

In other news, the white tables near the parking lot side have been changed out and there are new comics in the 10 for 10 bucks boxes (mostly Superman) and the other table has a bunch of new consign comics that have been filtering in the last couple of weeks.
In the last few days we received a huge new T-shirt shipment from a new supplier so there are lots of new styles on the walls by both the front door and back door, as well as on the t-shirt rack. Mens, Womens, Juniors including Two-Face, Batman, Superman, Batgirl, Poison Ivy, Harlequin, Popeye, Marilyn Monroe, Betty Boop and more!
