Thirty one years ago tomorrow I married a wonderful woman named Marsha Greenberg. I know it sounds syrupy, but she has been the love of my adult life. Through trials and tribulations, victories and defeats, she’s always been by my side, and for that I feel beyond fortunate. So I wish to all my single customers, gay and straight, find that special significant other in your life. Without it, there’s infinitely less meaning. Enough of my soapbox.
In case you haven’t noticed, that significant other of mine has been stocking the store with some really cool items lately, all themed around the comic book universe we love so much. A new “magnet” display features great designs of Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, and more; new keychains display the likenesses of Supergirl and Betty Boop, to name a couple, and a new box of DC Buttons feature the whole blessed DC universe! Bumper stickers and DC superhero glasses are a nice addition to the mix too!
The overstock extravaganza continues! I don’t know how I find more room in the store to display these, but I added two long boxes of 50 issue bundles of key titles this week to the “packet” or “set” display. You’ll find killer deals like 50 assorted BATMAN issues for $24.95, 50 SUPERMAN for $19.95 (yes, we have more Superman overstock than Batman!), and 50 different TEEN TITANS issues for $19.95. And the deal of the week? In honor of our anniversary and your continued AABC support, if you mention the blog and our anniversary you get 31% off (for 31 years) the back issues in the main island of back issues on the display floor.
