We hope you have been enjoying the holidays. It is hard to believe 2009 is almost gone!
There is still time to celebrate with all of us at AABC. Wed. is usually the best day of the week at AABC because it is “new comic” day:) Tomorrow is Wed. and this is the first time in 28 years that there isn’t a traditional shipment! Instead of a new shipment this week there is a special event happening.
Most Wanted Wednesday The Marvel New Year’s Eve, Eve Party! Come in tomorrow, Wed. Dec. 30th and get Marvel’s Origin of Siege and a special Fall of the Hulks Alpha Ed McGuinness variant! Free Marvel 2010 Calendars to everyone while supplies last. But DC didn’t want to be left out so they are shipping the much anticipated Blackest Night #6 to have on sale tomorrow as well! And to sweeten the pie we are giving away specially made packets of Marvel and DC comics FOR FREE to the first 50 customers to purchase ANYTHING:) And to celebrate with comic fans of all ages we’ll be sipping on Sparkling cider so stop by and have a glass to toast 2010 with us.
If you can’t make it Wed. we are open Thurs. from 10 AM – 5 PM.
And of course we start 2010 off with our Annual New Years Day Sale! We’ll be open Friday, Jan. 1, 2010 from 11 AM to 5PM! Everything in the store will be 25% off with the exception of some consignment items. If you pick out $1000.00 worth of merchandise you’ll get 50% off all non-consignment items (25% off on some consignment) so spend only $500.00 and go home with $1000.00 in merchandise! For the first time ever drop off your back issue “Most Wanted List” on Wed. 12/30 and we’ll have your back issues pulled and waiting for you at the sale on Friday!
So AABC is definitely the place to be on Wednesday and Friday this week but it is Saturday, as well! Saturday is the annual New Years Day Fiesta Bowl Parade in front of the store. Bring your chairs and watch the parade from right in front of the store!
If all this isn’t enough there are two DEALS OF THE WEEK…… 1) if you mention the blog you can get 2 of the special Marvel and DC comic packets being given out to anyone who purchases anything on Wed. for FREE! 2) On New Years Day, we also have a special of 100 comics from the discount comic room for $25.00. Before I close I want to remind you that the current auction ends tomorrow and a new all DC auction begins at 8PM! In addition there is a new 1970’s Bronze age consignment collection that just came in on the counters near the parking lot side that Alan has just finished grading and pricing.
