Hello everyone,
Just a couple of items to touch base with you on this week. We changed the contents of a parking lot side display case this week to a brand spankin’ new idea! Instead of featuring individually priced issues, this new display will feature COMPLETE or near complete runs of a title at 50% OFF OF CURRENT GUIDE! We’re featuring the NEW MUTANTS #1-100 this week, all NM and bagged and boarded! (Unfortunately, #98 is missing from the batch) The set guides out at $359.00, but the entire lot is on sale for $179.50! We’ll be changing titles frequently, so check this case out every time you come in. We’re more than willing to take suggestions or recommendations too. Let us know what you’d like to see…or better yet, purchase!
Today I brought home…sigh…another 75 or so packets to work on in the next few days. The regularly priced packet shelves are stuffed, so expect to see some of these to be further discounted in the 1/2 price bin to make room for new groups.
Another new feature in the store is the “killer prices on key books” display on the south wall above the new comics section. Books valued up to the $75.00 range are yours for the taking here at only $19.99 each! Lots of Marvel and DC Silver Age here at super bargains…as much as 75% OFF OF OVERSTREET! Peruse the wall when you come in, and look for the books with the dime size “yellow” sticker below the regular retail price. I’ve got lots to add here you guys, so buy ’em and give me some room!
And speaking of room, how about the “deal of the week?” Take 20% off any Omnibus or Absolute Hardback from last week and any previous week as long as you mention the “blog.” These puppies take up a lot of room on the counters. Comics we have, but counter space we do not! Please keep in mind; the discount does not apply to items shipping this week.
New Previews and Wizard Magazine shipping this week, so we’ll see ya’ on new comic day!
Alan
Hi. Alan! I know I have a lot of New Mutants, starting with #1–not sure I have #98 but would be glad to look if you want. What’s it worth to ya? (feel free to tell me privately, via e-mail)
Cheers,
Gary
