Hey Gang! Lots to tell you this week, so bear with me while I try to be succinct!
We received a really beautiful selection of Silver to Modern age CGC books in this last Saturday, and the books are on display in a Central side glass display case, waiting for collectors of high end books to come in and drool! (and hopefully purchase!) Of keynote to mention, there’s a copy of THE ATOM #1 from the Silver Age, along with TWO copies of JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #2 from 1960, and TWO copies of SHOWCASE #60, with the first Silver Age appearance of THE SPECTRE! Need I say more? Please come in a peruse!
Marsha, Eddie, Dan and I created a whole bunch of new displays in the store on Monday. It’s wishful thinking, but bring on the Fall season! The Halloween motif is in full force at AABC, with horror oriented merchandise hanging from the walls in between creepy Spider webbing and uh…severed bloody hands. There’s a nice haunted house effect to it, so check it out next time your in. And make sure to look at the west end display case that features the lighted Hawthorne monster Universal themed castles! They’re really cool, and they’re also 25% off!
And this display is right up my Kryptonian alley! On the north wall of the Central side, we have the very limited (less than 1,000 made!) SUPERMAN CAPE adorning the middle of a display featuring a huge selection of late Golden and early Silver Age SUPERMAN themed comics! There’s a wonderful selection of ADVENTURE COMICS that we purchased this year, most from the 1955 to 1959 era!
