I thought I’d jump right in and get the blog posted early this week while Alan is at the store because there is so much to tell you about.
First of all, if you don’t already know about our Halloween Week Special Sale be sure to stop by this week through Saturday, October 31st! We have our “Magic Pumpkin” SALE going on. We have begun changing out all the displays in the store once again. We just have too much good product hidden away in the back room that we need to rotate it and get it out for you to see. We have a new case near the parking lot side featuring all high grade books of 8.0 and higher. As they sell we will add more to this and keep it going for awhile.
The Halloween case is now reduced for clearance at 50% OFF for the last week of this month. It comes down Sunday so be sure to check it out before it disappears.
We have a new case in “Phil’s corner” of old Archie Comics. With the ongoing “Archie Marries Veronica” (and now Betty) storyline that started in issue #600. There is a resurgence in excitement in the old Archie Comics and we have a nice selection for you to peruse.
Due to popular demand we are keeping the main X-men case featuring the special Buy 2 get 25% off for a few more weeks. This is the last week however for the “Kryptonite” wall so you Superman buffs might want to grab these gems while you can with the Buy 3 Get 1 Free Special. New display coming next week.
Check out the fantastic new case Eddie created yesterday (near the Central side of the store) featuring many of the women of comics…….Vampirella, Buffy, Princess Leah, Zatanna and more.
The wall behind the parking lot side counter features more goodies that haven’t been featured in some time including Atom, Brave and Bold, Captain America, Flash and early Jonah Hex. Can you tell he started with the first half of the alphabet? 🙂
Now on to new collections. Our Florida gentleman has sent another box of goodies! Alan has them priced and graded and up on the Parking Lot side counter (on top of the X-men case). This group features more early to mid sixties DC’s, including Aquaman, Adventure, Batman, Blackhawk, Detective, Superman, Superboy and more! And to top it off he just emailed to say another box is on the way, so look for more goodies to be added to this selection later this week.
Last week we received a signed and numbered Dynamic Forces Framed Avengers. Vs. X-men print with an original sketch drawing and several older statues on consignment. Please take a look through the statue cases as there may be something you missed the first time it came out. In addition we have a new selection of discounted statues (50% off!) near the parking lot door.
Have we mentioned that our inventory is bursting at the seams? Well, this week we are offering a special selection of trade paperbacks at 2 for $20.00. There is some great reading material here folks so be sure to check it out.
Okay, that brings me to the deals of the week. First, because the discount comic room is also overflowing (we have added hundreds of new comics the last few weeks) buy any comic from the discount comic room for only 50 cents each or BUY 100 for only $25.00! Only 25 cents each! At that rate you can grab a bundle and hand them out on Halloween! This special runs through Tues. Nov. 2nd and only if you mention the blog!
The second deal of the week runs through Saturday. If you mention the blog you get to pick 2 treats instead of just one from the “Magic Pumpkin” and keep the better one:)
Tomorrow, Wed. Oct. 28th is a great week for comics. Blackest Night #4, Green Lantern #48 and Superman Secret Origin #2 all ship as well as a ton of other great books. There is a lot to look forward to in the shop this week!
